The route to the monastery

From Colombo,
Take the High Level Road passing Homagama & Godagama to Meepe junction. Turn left on to Meepe-Ingiriya Road travel 16km towards Ingiriya up to the Maha-Ingiriya junction. Turn left on to Nugadanda Road, after about 6.5 km turn right to the Jethawanarama monastery.

From Ingiriya,
Take the Ingiriya-Meepe Road, travel about 2km up to Maha-Ingiriya junction turn right at Maha-Ingiriya junction on to Nugadanda Road, after about 6.5 km turn right on to the Jethawana monastery.

This is the hallowed precinct providing a spiritual and tranquil environment for attainment of Arahanthood

In order to enable the Dharmayai Obai Punyabharaya to utilize the funds efficiently a separate account has been opened for donations towards the Alms givings.
